Sentences to Seeds: Spring is a good time for book releases and gardening!

Hi there!

I’m thrilled—and a little scared—to share that My Wingman, my debut novel, will be available on May 20, 2025! It has been developing for a while, and to be honest, the anxiety increases as that day approaches. Considering that I began creating the characters for this story a few years ago, time has gone by quickly; I’m now even more aware that the years get shorter as we age. Since I now have more gray hair than I did at the start of this process, I am a little envious that Clover did not age.

I have loved developing Clover’s world and her relationships with Reese, Sadie, Everett, and others. Still, I have also dreamed, overanalyzed (I am a lab nerd at heart!), revised, and tweaked her journey until it felt ready. It almost feels like I have joined Clover’s tribe after all this time, and I am excited to see if my readers will favor certain characters too!

So far, I’ve received amazing support, and I sincerely appreciate each like, share, and comment; they mean a lot to me and have a huge impact. Observing this enthusiasm motivates me during these final steps toward release.

I’m already thinking about the future and have a second story in the works. I have outlined a brand new, stand-alone book and have several chapters created. I can’t give away too much information just yet, but don’t worry—I will provide more details as they become available.

I would like to give a shout-out to Hannah at Always Flourishing Photography. She helped me with some great photos of My Wingman and captured my author bio photo that will be published in the book. I’m a gal who always had that one strange piece of hair sticking out in each yearbook photo, and Hannah did a fantastic job taming my nerves and ensuring my hair cooperated, too. I could not be happier with how they turned out!

Personally, I can’t wait for the weather to get warmer! While we get planting in the garden, my knitting needles will take a vacation (my goal for next winter is to learn how to make something other than dishcloths). My dog, Preacher, is also thrilled that the frequent spring showers are almost over, and we won’t need to do paw wipes as frequently. Hopefully, my husband and I will be back at a dragstrip soon, too! We’ve missed our track family!

This time of year is going to be busy, but I am very much looking forward to all the exciting things ahead!
